Use the Scale utility to calculate proportionally scaled imagessimilar to a traditional proportion wheel. This utility not only gives you percentage and measurements of scaling, but also show how resolution will be affected once your image has been scaled.
Enter your original width and height as well as the original's resolution. Then select how you would like to define your target size. Selecting "Size" or "Percentage" from the radio buttons will change what information is presented to you. The ratio of width and height is determined by these entries and will be maintained when your target size is defined.
Scale by Size
When scaling by size, you simply enter either the target width or target height. ADT will automatically enter the calculated dimension in the other target field. Changing either dimension defines the percentage used for scaling. This percentage will inversely affect the target's resolution.
Scale by Percentage
Using "Percentage" to define your target simply requires you to enter a percentage in the target field. Results are calculated and will be presented in the unit of measure selected. The percentage entered inversely affects the target's resolution.
