The Loupe tool lets you examine part of your plot in detail, without having to change the overall scale. This makes it easier to compare multiple patterns across their entire x-range.
Do one of the following:
Click the Loupe button in the Toolbar.
Choose: View > Overlays > Show Loupe.
Do one of the following:
Use a multi-touch pinch gesture (Mac).
Click and drag the resize box, in the bottom right-hand corner of the Loupe.
Hold down the control key and press the up or down arrow keys on your keyboard.
Do one of the following:
Use a two-fingered vertical slide gesture: slide up to increase the scale; slide down to reduce the scale (Mac).
Choose a fixed scale from the loupe's popup menu. (Click on the magnification display, in the bottom right-hand corner of the Loupe; or right-click in the Loupe to display the contextual menu.)
Hold down the command key and press the up or down arrow keys on your keyboard (Mac).
Do one of the following:
Click-and-drag the Loupe frame to move the Loupe and show magnified images update as you drag.
Click-and-drag the Loupe lens to see a preview of the magnified area: this is useful for precisely positioning the Loupe, without hiding the diffraction pattern to be magnified!
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard (for faster movement, hold down the shift key).
Do one of the following:
Click the Loupe button in the Toolbar.
Choose: View > Overlays > Hide Loupe.
Choose: Hide Loupe command from the Loupe's contextual or popup menus.
