TaskCard is also a to-do manager as well as a project manager so it allows you to assign due dates to tasks, shows you which tasks are overdue or will be due soon and reminds you when tasks will be due.
Contents
Setting due dates for a task can be done in a few ways:
Note: Tasks that are overdue are drawn with an underline and a notice will be shown at the bottom on the card.
The Date Picker showing as a calendar.
The Date Picker lets you change details about a tasks date, repeating, reminders and display style. To open the Date Picker use the Open Date Picker item in the Task menu after selecting a task.
The Date Pickers has these features:
You can set tasks with due dates to remind on or before the date will be overdue even if TaskCard is running or quit.
To set a date reminder:
After a reminder has been set an icon will be drawn next to the task which you can click to show you when TaskCard will issue the reminder. When the reminder is ready to be displayed TaskCard will popup a window above all other applications which tells you which task is due and when.
Important: Make sure the TaskCard Helper has been launched (see the File menu) before trying to set reminders. In TaskCard the Helper is the actual application to deliver the reminder so it must be open. This is so you can keep receiving reminders even if TaskCard has been quit.
Tasks that occur often can be set to repeat on a: daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis.
To make a date repeat:
Even if TaskCard has been closed you can see which dates will repeat in the Helper notification window.
Sometimes it's useful to see all tasks with due dates) and when (or if) they are overdue. To see an overview of all tasks (from all sheets) launch the TaskCard Helper.
The best part about the notifications in TaskCard is that you can view them even if TaskCard has been quit.
